Top Cyber Jackets for Men 2020
over time that is gonna pull one side
away from the other because anyone who's
interested in the aesthetic side of
things and in creating that immediately
engaging content they're going to be
incentivized to push that aesthetic
further and further because they know
each time the bar is raised
aesthetically and each time something is
created which is even more engaging in
even more eye-catching that is going to
get more likes more engagement etc than
anything that came before it and
meanwhile those who are more interested
in talking about the performance or the
utility side of things they don't quite
have that same interest so they're not
necessarily going to join the aesthetic
crowd and in fact there's something of a
countercultural movement or an aspect of
this cutting back on that aesthetic
aspect so that they can really focus on
the performance and that deeper and
something below surface level content
and so over time you have two separate
camps with two different viewpoints or
two different sets of priorities and
those two might not really get along
I've spoken before about tech web being
a sort of funnel and I think what I'm
talking about here kind of articulates
that point in the top of this funnel the
wider catchment area you have people
like Skaar Lord and the people that
reside in hashtag tech we're putting out
these aesthetically driven fits those
are the ones that really are going to be
seen by a wider audience but then if you
perhaps see stuff like that
you want to go further down the tech
where rabbit hollers is into that more
enthusiast culture then you might find
yourself in one of those dedicated
communities or even somewhere like this
channel and it's there as you transition
from the top of the funnel down into the
smaller more enthusiast community that
you start to learn more things about
material performance and utility and
functionality things that are very hard
to articulate and get across with that
pure image based content things that you
maybe see for just one or two seconds
you hit like and then you move on and
I'm not trying to save this as an edgy
critique of social media or trying to
pick one camp against the other or
encourage any kind of tribalism it's
merely something that I personally feel
that I've noticed within tech where
within this community and identifying or
at least trying to identify the reasons
for that something happened last week
which illustrates this battle between
aesthetics and performance so I posted
this photo to the tech where Facebook
group and okay it's not really sort of
tech ninja type things not covered in
straps or whatever but I feel like it's
utilitarian its futuristic and I think
it fits the bill more importantly the
merino t-shirt than nylon overshare and
the cloth work pants from outlier all of
those are very high performance
materials they either offer water
resistance in the case of the pants and
the overshare they're extremely
comfortable and breathable like the
merino tisha there's a lot going on
which makes this a very useful and a
very appropriate outfit and yet it
caused an unintentional debate as to
whether something like this constitutes
tech wear at all and I'm not trying to
drag anyone for saying that their mum
dress is more tech wear than me but it
shows a unique problem in that single
image can't always tell the whole story
of us hair core outfit and that there
are many different criteria for
evaluating an outfit like that and
different people are going to have
different priorities as to which of
those criteria are more or most
important so did the hashtag tech wear
ninja movement poison the tech well well
ordered performance enthusiasts lose
sight of what makes tech wear so
aesthetically different and cool but I
guess depends on your stance and I'm not
going to tell you above those is better
than the other but I'm gonna ask a witch
sigh
those to you more closely identify with
or which side you feel is more
interesting to you and B does there
really have to be these two separate
communities or sides at all for me tech
wear has always been about a combination
of fusion of aesthetics and performance
so surely anyone that has a genuine
interest in those two things surely they
can find some common ground here and
maybe if they can't be inspired by
people that have a very different
aesthetic or there are one side of the
scale compared to the other they can at
least find some kind of appreciation of
outfits that after all are all in this
tech wear umbrella or maybe as some
people have suggested it's time to
formally separate the two and leave tech
wear for anything that's aesthetic
driven and come up with a different term
like super modern for anything which is
far more performance driven so that was
very quick and simplified overview of
this topic because there is honestly a
lot to talk about here I didn't even
talk about the significance of a brand
like acronym for example which has
always been about exactly that that
combination of heavily aesthetic driven
design and the performance materials and
hardware and innovations - and it's
really brands like that that kick
started this whole thing in the first
place but hopefully what I presented
here was of some interest and a bit of a
starting point for discussion so do you
stick your thoughts down there in the
comments cuz I do really want to check
them out and as always if you enjoyed
the video please do give it a like it as
much appreciated and as always we will
see you next time in the next video I'm
recording this video before the last one
